- Does Cove work without a subscription?
- Yes. Cove is free for up to 15 recipes. “Collector” ($5.99) and “Chef” ($24.99) are one-time purchases that lift the recipe limit and add social, photo and PDF imports and sync. There is no subscription.
- Can I organise my recipes into cookbooks?
- Yes. Cookbooks are Cove’s home screen: you create your own books and sort recipes into them, and the same recipe can sit in several books at once. “All recipes” and “Unsorted” are kept up to date automatically. Cookbooks are part of the free version — there is no limit on how many you create.
- Where are my recipes stored?
- Your recipes are stored on your device. Sync between iPhone and iPad is optional (Collector or Chef), needs a Cove account, and stores your recipes on our EU-hosted backend.
- Can I import recipes from a link or social media post?
- Yes. Web links import for free and without a limit (the free library holds up to 15 recipes). With Collector (10 social + 10 photo/PDF imports a month) or Chef (up to 150 of each a month, shown as unlimited) you can also import TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube posts, photos and PDFs. Tap Share, then Cove: the link joins the queue and is imported when you open Cove.
- Does Cove work offline?
- Yes. Everything except importing new recipes and syncing works without an internet connection. Your cookbook, weekly planner, shopping list, and guided cooking mode are all available offline.
- Which devices and iOS versions does Cove support?
- Cove is available for iPhone and iPad and requires iOS 16.0 or iPadOS 16.0 or later. There is currently no version for Android, macOS, or the web.
- Does Cove show ads or track me?
- No. Cove has no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Optional crash reports are off by default and carry no personal data.
