Every shift, on the record.
Log your tips and overtime right after work – in a few taps. Make free monthly tip reports for each employer, and see an estimate of the federal deductions for tips and overtime, if you qualify.
Free to use. TipStub Pro adds the W-2 check, a year-end summary and CSV export.

What TipStub does
Log a shift in a few taps
Cash tips, card tips, tip-out, hours and overtime – one screen, then you’re done. Work several jobs? Add each employer once. Starting mid-year? Add earlier months as monthly totals.
Free monthly tip reports
TipStub makes one report per employer and month as a PDF, ready to sign and hand in. It works out the due date – the 10th, or the next business day – and tells you when a month is under $20 and no report is needed.
See an estimate, with the math
TipStub estimates the 2025–2028 federal deductions for qualified tips (capped at $25,000 per return) and for the overtime premium, including the income phase-outs. Only the half-time premium the FLSA requires counts, so TipStub checks every workweek for hours over 40 and shows how each figure is worked out. It’s an estimate, if you qualify – your actual deduction may be lower or $0.
Right where you need it
A reminder after your shift. A “Tips this week” widget. “Log shift” in Control Center. Or just say “Hey Siri, log cash tips in TipStub” – Siri asks for the amount and your hours.
Ready for W-2 season
Your Form W-2 shows tips in Box 12 code TP and overtime in code TT. With TipStub Pro, compare them with your own records and give your tax pro a year-end summary.

Frequently asked questions
- Is this tax advice?
- No. TipStub is a record-keeping tool. It doesn’t prepare, review or file tax returns and doesn’t give tax, legal or financial advice. For your return, talk to a qualified tax professional.
- Do I qualify for the deductions?
- TipStub can’t decide that. It shows an estimate based on your entries and your answers – for example whether your job is on the Treasury list of tipped occupations and whether you’re paid hourly under the FLSA. For tax year 2026 and later, the amounts on your Form W-2 decide.
- Is the tip report really free?
- Yes. Reporting your tips to your employer is your own duty, so the monthly tip report is free for everyone – no Pro needed.
- Where are my records stored?
- On your iPhone. If you turn on iCloud Sync, they’re also kept in your own private iCloud. There’s no TipStub server and no account.
- What happens after the free trial?
- The yearly plan renews at $16.99/year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. You can turn on a reminder 2 days before it ends. Your records and the free features stay either way.
TipStub shows estimates based only on your own entries; your actual deduction may be lower or $0. A deduction lowers your taxable income – it isn’t a refund. The deductions apply to federal income tax only, not to Social Security, Medicare or state taxes. TipStub is not affiliated with or endorsed by the IRS or any government agency.
