What the checklist covers
Paperwork with deadlines
Birth certificate and registry office, health insurance, Kindergeld (paid only 6 months back), Elterngeld (only 3 months of life back), parental leave, maternity benefit and, for unmarried parents, paternity acknowledgement and custody declaration. Hide what doesn’t apply to you.
Check-ups and vaccinations
The U1 to U9 and J1 check-ups with their time windows from the Kinder-Richtlinie, and the STIKO vaccination schedule to look up. Tick off what is entered in the U-Heft and vaccination card, and add your own appointments.
Kita registration
A checklist of the originals you show – measles protection, vaccination advice, check-ups per federal state – plus a template for the pediatric practice and fill-in guides for Kindergeld and Elterngeld.
Documents at hand
Scan the birth certificate, U-Heft, vaccination card and official letters. They are protected with Face ID and stored only on your iPhone.

- Does Babypapiere replace advice from the authorities?
- No. Babypapiere lists the usual steps and deadlines after a birth in Germany and links to official sources, but it is not legal or medical advice and not proof. The responsible authorities, your health insurance and your pediatric practice decide in your case.
- What happens to our data and our child’s health data?
- Everything you enter stays on your iPhone, and Made by PB has no access to it. Check-ups, vaccinations, appointments for them and scanned documents stay on that iPhone only and are never stored in iCloud. If you choose, only deadlines and tasks are shared with your partner through your own iCloud.
- Which devices and languages does it support, and when is it available?
- Babypapiere runs on iPhone with iOS 26 or later, in German and English, and is for parents in Germany. The app is coming soon to the German App Store; this page will link to it once it is available.
- Can both parents use it?
- Yes. With Babypapiere Komplett you can share deadlines and tasks with your partner through iCloud, and with Family Sharing one purchase works for both of you. Health data is not shared and stays on the iPhone where it was entered.
